“What We Dictate” Chapter 1: The Evolution Of Street Culture W/ DNA X THEMPeople [Video]
Our homies over at THEMPeople sit down with our other homie ‘Mar$’ to discuss the evolution of street culture. We’re now seeing the impact of Hip Hop, what street clothing brands used to represent, and how much they’ve evolved. Most importantly, they talk about the evolution of the renaissance man, and the importance of individual thinking and how it’s strongly involving with fashion.
‘We’re not backing it because Jay-Z’s wearing it. That’s clown. Don’t wait for Jay-Z to do it.” – Nate, owner of DNA
The first chapter of our mini-series in collaboration with St. Louis’ new streetwear boutique, DNA, we start with an an introduction of the store and a little bit of commentary of style & integrity. Appearances by two of the heads of the store, Nate (owner) and Mar$ (brand director), we get a little insight from them on what the store stands for.
