Talib Kweli Performance at Chicago Apple Store
While the idea is still pure at the moment, I think it’s really cool that artists are during free in-store performances at places like Apple. While it may not result in a lot of sales, it shows that atleast that company cares a little bit deeper about what their customers are interested in besides buying their products. Talib, after all these years still has it. I just started reading the book Decoded today by Jay-Z, and Talib definitely possessed a lot of the elements that Jay describes in his book in terms of how he was introduced to Hip-Hop as a kid in New York.
I’m sure a lot of those people at the free Apple Store concert didn’t know much about his music, but hopefully they left as new fans.
