Detroit native, producer Nick Speed takes us to his favorite record store in Detroit, People’s Records, where he’s discovered most of the records he’s sampled. Speed who is signed to Money Management, a subsidiary of G-Unit Records, has produced for the likes of 50 Cent, Talib Kweli, Tupac Shakur, and more. He sits down in People Records to breakdown J Dilla’s production for Common’s “Love Is.” The original record/classic from Marvin Gaye, also happened to birth a powerful/classic Hip Hop record.
