If there was ever a such thing as a Freshmen Class list for R&B & Soul artists, both Mara Hruby & Melo-X would both be at the top of my list. Hruby’s ever popular cover of Mos Def’s The Panties, has been remixed by New York’s own, Melo X. Slowing the track down a little bit, and dubbing extra vocals and new instrumentation, the track is in my opinion on the same level of X’s creative remixes from the past.

MeLo-X will be releasing his first full length instrumental album titled “Fewture” on 1/31/12 and in preparation for that, he drops an Xtra seductive remix of Mara Hruby’s “The Panties” which is a Mos Def cover. Pre-orders of “FEWTURE” will be available early January here Melo-X
