After including Lupe Fiasco on the “Pinhead” section of his show, Bill O’Reilly extended an invitation to the rapper to appear on The O’Reilly Factor. Shortly after, the always vocal conservative announced that Lupe declined. Apparently Lupe knew nothing of this and is still set to appear on the show. The invitation was extended after Lupe called President Obama a terrorist. We can choose to agree or disagree with his statement, but at least he’s an artist not afraid to voice an opinion on politics. So many sports figures and entertainers are so afraid of their public image, album sales and popularity that they will never do the same. There used to be icons like Muhammad Ali and Stevie Wonder who regularly spoke on behalf of the people. Now we just selfish ‘role models’ who are solely worried about self gain. No official date has been released for Lupe’s appearance on The O’Reilly Factor.
