Everything Kendrick Lamar puts out usually speaks for itself. Meaning that, there’s really no cosign needed, nor is he overhyped as most artists to date seem to be. He teeters the line of honest, heartfelt lyrics, and song topics that people want to speak about, but most don’t have the courage to do so. I am however noticing that ‘Swimming Pools’ Drank has more of a mainstream appeal, with simple production, and catchy lyrics that will hopefully give him the radio attention he deserves just in time to promote his upcoming project. The Top Dawg front runner’s debut album m.A.A.D. city is due out on October 2nd, and while we’ve only heard a couple tracks, I’m pretty sure he’s just getting started.
