With all the hype surrounding both “Watch the Throne” and “The Carter IV” it seemed only fitting that a beef would be on the rise for the artists and in true Hip-Hop fashion Lil Wayne and Jay-Z have decided to keep the tradition alive and well. Despite never having any known issues prior it seems that magically before the actual release of “The Carter IV” and just a few weeks after “Watch the Throne” has been released Jay-Z and Lil Wayne supposedly have a big disagreement of words. Although neither artist really needs the extra publicity to help album sales, with their name alone being enough to have each album go platinum twice, they’ve both decided to stay true to this age old hip-hop tradition.  The alleged beef  has stemmed from what else?, some lyrics that seem to be a case of mistaken identity.  In his part for the riff, Jay-Z was allegedly referring to Wayne and Baby in his track “H.A.M” saying “Baby Money”  and instead of  asking him what was meant, Wayne shot back with his track “It’s Good”, leaked yesterday from “The Carter IV” saying

“Talk about baby money, I got your baby money. Kidnap your b!tch get that that how much you love your lady money.”

…My verdict, both lyrics seem to be a misunderstanding between overly sensitive bloggers and attention deprived publicists who got in both artists ear telling them that a beef was the only way to clear the air by taking cheap shots in a song. I say they have a round table discussion to clear the air or let it simply blow over, seeing as how beefs between rap artists are “so 2001″, What’s the point?, the albums will sell anyways since both artists have talent that speaks for itself.
