Cocaine 80s – Ghost Lady [EP Review]

It’s not easy to successfully follow up after an impressive debut, but the Cocaine 80s collective did just that. The mysterious group of creatives spearheaded by producer No. I.D. raised the bar even higher with their Ghost Lady EP. The seven track project features the familiar faces of Common, Kevin Randolph, James Fauntleroy II and Steve Wyreman. The EP maintains the level of dopeness where The Pursuit EP left off, but is lacking a bit in the creativity department. Ghost Lady seems more fitting as an extension of their debut EP rather than a separate project. The No I.D. produced Six Ft. Over is the feature track with Common offering passionate lyrics which highlights the chill vibe of the EP. 3.75/5
