B~Free The Conscious Tip

She may have just appeared on our radar this week, but B~Free‘s debut album Open Mic, Open Heart  is something you would expect from a veteran. If I didn’t know she produced and composed the entire album, I would have assumed she was backed by a major label with some dope resources. In her case, as an Indy artist, she’s making the most of her God given abilities, and it’s working. Not giving in to the current fad of crossover records, B~Free is single-handedly bringing soul back to the music scene. Normally during a review I would dissect the album track by track, but in this case there’s no need. There’s not one bad song on this joint. It is beautifully written and produced throughout. The only problem I have is the length of the album, with only 8 tracks. B~Free, you gotta give us more! 4.5/5
